Yesterday marked a major milestone in environmental conservation as Karen, alongside corporate partners — Nation Media Group Ltd, Sasini PLC, CKL Africa, and Kenya Forest Service (KFS) officials — conducted a successful site viewing and marking for her upcoming 50-acre Indigenous Conservation Forest in Kirinyaga County.

The ambitious project aims to grow 64,000 indigenous trees over the next three years, contributing significantly to Kenya’s reforestation efforts and biodiversity restoration.
The first phase, involving the planting of 17,000 tree seedlings, is scheduled for 22nd November 2025 — a date that holds special meaning as it coincides with Karen’s 13th birthday! Rather than marking her milestone with a traditional celebration, Karen has chosen to give back to nature — a powerful statement of environmental stewardship and hope for future generations.

Her journey reminds us that age is no barrier to impact. Through small acts of commitment and big dreams, Karen is nurturing a legacy that will grow for decades to come.
