In yet another inspiring milestone, Karen, the 11-year-old environmental champion behind the Karen Forte Environmental Conservation Foundation, has been recognized on the global stage by Action For Nature, a renowned international organization that honors young environmental changemakers.

Karen participated in the prestigious Global Eco-Hero Challenge, which attracts passionate and innovative young conservationists from around the world. Out of hundreds of applicants, her impactful work — from founding a 400-member school environmental club to leading large-scale tree planting drives across Kenya — earned her a place among this year’s semi-finalists.

“It’s such an honor to be recognized by Action For Nature,” Karen said. “This shows that children’s voices matter in the climate conversation.”

Karen’s journey from creating recycled outfits at environmental pageants to planting over 10,000 trees and advising on children’s climate rights has captured attention both locally and internationally.

Reaching the semi-finals is not just a personal achievement — it’s a proud moment for Kenya and for children across Africa who are rising to take action for the planet.

Congratulations, Karen! Your journey continues to inspire a greener, brighter future for us all.
