Launched just 10 months ago, the Virtual Forest Program has surpassed 10,000 trees planted by online participants across Kenya. Children and families plant trees in their local communities and share photos and growth updates through the Foundation’s social media pages. The initiative was inspired by the Power of One philosophy championed by Wangari Maathai.
Next goal: half a million trees by 2026!
